Chinese Mainland, Taiwan players compete in basketball match

University students from the Chinese mainland and Taiwan competed in the 2019 cross-Straits college basketball contest, held on Friday evening in Fuzhou, capital city of East China's Fujian province.
"Basketball is one of the most attractive sports for people. I hope it can be a bridge to promote cross-Straits exchanges," said Yao Ming, chairman of the Chinese Basketball Association, at the opening ceremony.
