According to the producer, more than 500 days have been spent preparing for this new production, and rehearsals have been going well. The director and the cast have been warming up for the play by spending hours reading through the script and rehearsing together.
Chinese audiences are familiar with the director when he first brought his work to China in 2016. This year, the director's stage production of Eugene Onegin for the Vakhtangov Theatre has been touring China, attracting audiences of over 20,000 people.
