HONG KONG - Hong Kong Chief Executive Carrie Lam Cheng Yuet-ngor together with some principal officials will attend the first "community dialogue" scheduled from 7 pm to 9 pm next Thursday, announced the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region's government in a press release on Thursday.

The session, to be held at the Queen Elizabeth Stadium, will be an open dialogue platform aimed at reaching out to the public. People from all walks of life are invited to express their views so that the government could better understand the discontent in society and to look for solutions, according to the press release.

Members of the public can submit their registration online or at designated Home Affairs Enquiry Centres from Thursday till noon on Monday.

If the number of registrants exceed the 150 quota, places will be allocated by computer lot drawing, according to the press release.
