BEIJING - Chinese authorities have released a guideline on the management of water conservation in public institutions in a bid to increase the efficiency of water use.
The guideline details management requirements for public institutions in terms of using water, water disposal, maintenance and performance assessment.
More than 30,000 public institutions have been established as water-conserving units by the end of 2018. The per capita water consumption in public institutions dropped by 9.11 percent from 2015 to 2018.
The guideline was jointly issued by the National Government Offices Administration, the general office of the National Development and Reform Commission and the general office of the Ministry of Water Resources.
