Meet the Origin, a nonprofit exhibition featuring the artworks created by children from Yushu, Tibetan autonomous prefecture in Northwest China’s Qinghai province, kicked off Saturday in Beijing’s Xicheng district.

Organized by children in Beijing, the show brings together 117 paintings created by some 70 Yushu children, and 52 Tibetan calligraphy works by local students and teachers, making it the country’s biggest-ever exhibition dedicated to showcasing Tibetan children’s artworks.

Running at Tyro Tenet Arts Club, Xishiku 31, and Jiusi Cultural and Creative Center, the exhibition shows oil paintings, ink paintings, woodblock prints, and watercolors, which altogether offer urbanites a window into the creativity and the love for art of children living on the Tibetan Plateau.
