The Japanese carmaker's sales surged to 769,900 vehicles in Chinese market in the first half of this year, jumping 13.2 percent over same period last year.
The sales for the company's Chinese ventures amounted to 380,000 vehicles at FAW Toyota, a 6 percent year-on-year increase, and 311,224 vehicles at Guangqi Toyota, a 22 percent rise year-on-year.
Lexus, Toyota's high-end brand, sold 93,823 vehicles in China in the first six months of this year.
