The red carpet was rolled out and celebrities made grand entrances with outfits based on their interpretation of the theme, “Camp: Notes on Fashion”, at the 2019 Met Gala in New York City on Monday.
The annual event, renowned for its A-list celebrities and fancy haute couture costumes, is a fundraising gala for the benefit of the New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art. Dubbed as the "Oscar" of the fashion industry, Met Gala also marks the opening of the Costume Institute's annual fashion exhibition.
