MUSCAT - Oman's Gulf Great Sands announced on Monday the arrival of Chinese Foton vehicles for the first time in the country and is now available for customers.

During a conference, the company distributed five different models which are the SUVs, four-wheel drive cars, pickups, mini buses and panel vans.

"Based on the partnership concluded by Gulf Great Sands with China's Foton Motor, the first will be the sole distributor of Foton vehicles," according to a spokesman for the Omani company at a press conference in Muscat.

He said a range of Chinese Foton vehicles, including heavy, medium and light trucks for all kinds of heavy-duty work, will soon arrive in Oman.

They also include cranes, light trucks, buses and multi-purpose vehicles, he added.
