The Power of the Image is a photo exhibit being held in Datong city in North China's Shanxi province. The event is part of the China (Datong) International Photography Culture Exhibition, which is an annual event initiated and organized by the China Public Relations Association, the government of Datong Municipality and Three Shadows Photography Art Centre in Beijing.

The UAE and Switzerland, the Guest Countries of Honor, were invited to organize a photo exhibition in the framework of the festival. The exhibition itself aims to collectively display about 50 artworks featuring each country's art, landscape and culture. The ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to the People’s Republic of China, Ali Al Dhaheri, attended the event and delivered a speech as one of two guests of honour at the Datong Photo Festival.
