China Machado
Born in 1929, died at age 86
China Machado, or Noelie Machado, worked as a fashion model and TV producer in the US. She was the first non-white model to appear in a major American fashion magazine, Harper's Bazaar's February 1959 issue. She was still active in the fashion circle in her 80s.
