About 120 exhibitors and buyers of medical equipment and medical care products gathered together on Thursday for a matchmaking meeting, where they from home and abroad expressed their high expectations towards for the upcoming China International Import Expo (CIIE) in early November 2018 in Shanghai. 

Six enterprises - Artemed Group, Dräger, Fujifilm, Shang You Co Ltd, Siemens Healthineers and Towako Medical Group - all signed application forms to attend next year's import expo. 

The reason behind their enthusiasm toward the newly launched China International Import Expo (CIIE) is they believe the event is going to be an extensive, open and effective platform for exchange and cooperation.

"Leading world enterprises in medical equipment and medical care products enterprises worldwide are welcomed to explore China's market through the CIIE, and the healthcare and medical device sector has entered a golden age in China," said Sun Chenghai, deputy head of the China International Import Expo Bureau, said during the matchmaking meeting.

Sun expected the Chinese medical equipment market value will exceed 770 billion yuan ($112 billion) by 2020, and the healthcare industry will form a market worth more than 10 trillion yuan.
