Across nearly two decades, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization has undergone an extraordinary development process, becoming a comprehensive regional organization with a vast geopolitical influence.
The SCO's annual summit is held in alternating countries. China has hosted the summit three times so far, but this year is the first time it has come to Qingdao.
Combining old and new, the coastal city of Qingdao in East China's Shandong Province is this year's host to the 18th SCO Summit in June.
