Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane has shocked world football by resigning less than a week after guiding the team to a third consecutive UEFA Champions League triumph.
Since taking over in January 2016, the 45-year-old Frenchman also helped the team win the Spanish League and cup, and the UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup twice each.
"This team needs to continue winning but I think it needs a change, a different voice, another methodology, and that's why I took this decision," he told journalists.
