Premier stresses deeper technological cooperation with Germany
China and Germany should deepen communication and cooperation in technological innovation to inject new momentum to the global economy, Premier Li Keqiang said.
Li made the remarks as he sent a congratulatory message to the 5th innovation conference between China and Germany on Tuesday.
He noted that as a new round of scientific and technical revolution and industrial transformation is taking place worldwide, technology innovation is bringing a profound impact on people's way of living. He said technology innovation cooperation between China and Germany has created a model for such cooperation between major powers and brought stronger driving forces between China-German cooperation.
Noting that the country's economic development is at a key stage of shifting driving forces and industrial upgrading, Li said China will fully implement the innovation-driven development strategy and further boost entrepreneurship and innovation. He said he hopes both China and Germany will better cooperate through tapping the potential of both countries and deepen technological innovation to promote a healthy development of both societies.
The 5th China-Germany innovation conference was held in Beijing on Tuesday with more than 300 representatives from both countries attending the event.
