The 2nd Ulansuhai Nur (Wuliangsuhai) Ice and Snow Festival commenced in Urad Front Banner, Bayannuur on Jan 13 and will last until March 2.

The 48-day tourism festival consists of ice sculptures, winter fishing, a snacks and souvenirs fair, and entertainment activities.

Ulansuhai Nur is recognized as a pearl of Inner Mongolia autonomous region. It’s a rare lake zone surrounded by arid steppe and desert areas, which was included on the Ramsar Convention on Wetlands of International Importance in 2002.
