Huang Desheng, a one-armed volunteer traffic assistant from Changsha, Hunan province, has caught more than 60 thieves during his 22-year fight against pickpockets.
The 72-year-old, who lost his left arm in an accident when he was a railway worker, is known as the One-armed Knight.
His fight against crime started in 1995 when he stopped a thief in a shop. Over the years, Huang has been injured several times, including once when he was stabbed in the abdomen.
Due to his age, Huang gave up looking for thieves a few years ago and volunteered to be a traffic assistant.
"Although one of my arms is damaged, my heart and brain are not," he said.
