15 Chinese organizations have been listed among world's leading 100 organizations for most citation of their AI-related research papers during 2012 to 2016, according to The Nikkei newspaper and academic publishing giant Elsevier.
Chinese Academy of Sciences took the third spot and Tsinghua University ninth.
Financial Times said the result showed China's advances in artificial intelligence, and that Chinese universities are becoming fertile grounds for AI researchers.
