The Global Internet Development Index was released on Dec 4 at the 4th World Internet Conference in Wuzhen, Zhejiang province.
The index, compiled by a group of parties led by the Chinese Academy of Cyberspace Studies, took a holistic approach by assessing the level of infrastructure, innovation capacity, industry development, internet application, cyber security and internet governance in economies with advanced internet penetration.
