A documentary reviewing the history of the Inner Mongolia autonomous region was released in Beijing Dec 8.

Lovely Land -- Precious Memories in the Image, a production by China Central Newsreel and Documentary Film Studio, traces the autonomous region’s history back to the 1940s. The documentary includes many precious historical files recording the founding of the autonomous region, reflecting revolutionists' efforts to keep national unity and social prosperity.

The Inner Mongolia autonomous region, which was founded in 1947 under the leadership of the Communist Party of China, is China's provincial-level ethnic autonomy region, setting an example for other regions to follow.
