6 killed, 11 injured in Taiwan highway bus crash

TAIPEI -- At least six people were confirmed dead and 11 others injured after a coach hit a guardrail on the freeway connecting Taiwan's Kaohsiung with Taipei late Monday.
The bus left Kaohsiung for Taipei at about 11 pm Monday. A total of 16 passengers and one driver were on board when the accident occurred, according to local police.
An investigation into the cause of the accident is under way.
