An exhibition of porcelain from Jingdezhen, East China's Jiangxi province, will be held in the CPPCC (Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference) Culture and History Museum in Beijing from June 5 to August 18.

Co-hosted by the museum and the Jingdezhen Municipal Committee of the CPPCC, the exhibition will showcase more than 400 exhibits, including ancient fragments, modern copies, and artistic products in daily use today.

This exhibition, the largest exhibition of porcelain chips in China, will show collections amassed over the last twenty years, with all the ancient porcelain coming from famous kilns.

Jingdezhen, widely known as the "capital of porcelain," has been an important chinaware production and export base since the Sui and Tang Dynasty (581-907). Its white and blue porcelain produced during Yuan Dynasty (1271-1368) was exported to more than 40 countries and regions along the ancient Silk Road. In 2016, Jingdezhen's porcelain products were exported to 75 countries and regions at a value of 256 million yuan (37 million US dollars). Its 1,700-year old ceramic culture continues to attract the world today.
