China stresses role of industrial financing in promoting Belt and Road Initiative

Chen Yuan, vice-chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and president of the Silk Road Planning Research Center, said that in the face of the financing demands of the initiative, financial institutions should prioritize their efforts on combinations of industry and finance.
Chen said the Silk Road Industry and Finance International Alliance, a coalition of companies newly launched by the Silk Road Planning Research Center and the National Development and Reform Commission's the International Cooperation Center (ICC), would promote the implementation of relevant projects to boost the initiative.
