Christoph Blocher, former member of Swiss Confederation says as a family business founder who had closer relationship with China and also a Swiss politician, his family is thrilled to welcome President Xi Jinping's visit.

He knows, during the visit, that both sides will be exploring to upgrade the free trade agreement to further reduce tariffs, believing that the efforts will be benefit exporters of both sides and will also set an example for China and EU to seek the possibility of entering into such trade arrangement as soon as possible.

As long-lasting friend of China, Blocher says he is privileged to be invited to attend a function, which President Xi will be present, but due to urgent family obligations, his daughter will be replacing him.
